Tutorials

A hallmark of The Janus School academic program is the intensive tutoring program. Every first-year student receives a daily one-to-one tutorial designed to concentrate on his or her greatest needs. The tutorial program is also offered to students beyond their first year, with recommendation from his or her instructional team.

Tutors design a student's tutorial program based upon information from assessment at Janus, classroom performance, tests from prior schools, and evaluations from psychologists and other outside experts. Daily one-to-one tutoring allows for intensive remediation using best-practice and personalized instruction. A goal is for the student to better understand his or her learning profile, as well as develop the skills necessary to become an independent learner.
