From the Desk of the Head of School

Hello and welcome to The Janus School's website. The Roman god Janus, for whom the school was named, is the god of doorways, beginnings, and transitions, and looks to the past as well as the future. At Janus, we look at a student’s past but more importantly his future. We are a school of new beginnings, new doorways for learning, and transitioning into a style of thinking, questioning, and answering that will enable a student to become a life-long learner. The Janus School is a unique and diverse place which challenges and supports students with a variety of learning styles to reach their true potential.

All the links and photos help to tell the story of Janus, a school where every student is given the wonderful opportunity to explore their learning styles and to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to achieve his or her goals. Our approach is holistic, working with the student and family, to develop the best individualized program possible.

Our school is for students in Kindergarten through Twelfth grade, with very small classes and an emphasis on individualized attention. The staff is dedicated, qualified, and attuned to the various learning styles of each student. The atmosphere is one of support, a joy of learning, and challenge; a wonderful environment to learn in.
