Financial aid

For those families unable to meet the full cost of a Janus education, financial aid is available. Aid is awarded on a confidential, need-based basis relative to other applicants. Eligibility is determined on a first-come, first-served basis. The Janus School works with the National Association of Independent Schools and its School and Student Service for Financial Aid (SSS) service. Families must reapply each year.

How to apply

To be considered, parents should organize the following forms:

  1. The SSS "Family Guide to Financial Planning" and "Parents' Financial Statement" (PFS), available from the admission office. It must be filled out completely and mailed, with the required fee, to the School Scholarship Service in Princeton, where it is processed. This is available at Janus and online at www.nais.org/financialaid/sss. Copies of the PFS and the need analysis report are sent to The Janus School in three to five weeks.
  2. A copy of the parents' most recent tax return and W-2 forms.
  3. Copy of custody agreement and/or divorce creed, if parents are separated or divorced.
  4. A letter to further clarify the family's specific and future financial situation (optional).

Forms should be sent to:

Once all documents are received, the financial aid committee will review them, make a decision, and inform you in writing.
