Educational
Improvement Tax Credit Program
A gift to The Janus School can provide
your company with a substantial Tax Credit through the Educational
Improvement Tax Credit Program (EITC).
By making a contribution to The Janus
School’s scholarship fund, your company can save in Pennsylvania tax as much
as 90% of the value of the gift.
Your support of The Janus School through the EITC will help Janus make
its educational experience available to the most students regardless of
their financial circumstances.
How does the program work?
- Approximately $8.2
million still remains available on a first-come-first-served basis
for contributions to scholarship organizations like Janus.
- Applications for tax
credits for program fiscal year 2006-2007 (July 1, 2006 - June 30,
2007) were accepted beginning July 1, 2007.
- Tax credits are given for
75% of the business's contribution to the Janus scholarship fund, up
to a maximum of $200,000 annually. (The business would contribute
$266,667 in order to obtain the maximum tax credit amount.)
- A business that agrees to
make the same contribution to the scholarship fund for two
consecutive tax years may receive a tax credit equal to 90% of its
contribution, again up to a maximum of $200,000 annually. (The
business would contribute $222,222 each year for two years in order
to obtain the maximum tax credit amount.)
- Simply apply to the
